Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Sparrow Security platform. By using our services you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading the Sparrow Security app, creating an account, or accessing the admin panel, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are registering on behalf of a society or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the platform.
2. Description of Service
Sparrow Security provides a society management and security platform including: • Visitor management and entry logging • AI face recognition for resident and staff identification • OTP-based gate access control • A resident mobile application (Android) • A web-based admin panel for society and building administrators • Maintenance billing, complaints, and notices management Features are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for: • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials • All activity that occurs under your account • Ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and up to date • Notifying us immediately at contact@sparrowsecurity.online if you suspect unauthorised access Society admins are responsible for ensuring that residents and guards in their society use the platform in accordance with these terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its servers • Transmit any malware, spam, or harmful code • Circumvent or disable any security or authentication features • Use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm other users • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code from the platform • Impersonate another person or create fraudulent visitor entries • Use visitor or resident data for any purpose other than legitimate society management We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.
5. Biometric & Sensitive Data
Face enrolment is voluntary. By enrolling your face, you consent to: • The capture and storage of your facial embedding (a mathematical vector, not a photo) • The use of this embedding for identity verification at your society's gate You may withdraw consent and request deletion of your biometric data at any time by contacting your society admin or emailing contact@sparrowsecurity.online. Deletion is processed within 7 days. Society admins are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from residents and staff before enrolling their biometric data.
6. Data Ownership
Society operational data (visitor logs, resident records, entry history) belongs to the society. Sparrow Security acts as a data processor on behalf of the society (the data controller). Personal data (name, contact, biometrics) belongs to the individual. Sparrow Security processes this data as described in our Privacy Policy. Upon termination of a society's subscription, we will provide an export of all society data in a machine-readable format within 30 days, after which data will be deleted.
7. Intellectual Property
All software, design, trademarks, and content on the Sparrow Security platform are the exclusive property of Sparrow Security. Nothing in these terms grants you any ownership interest in the platform. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform solely for the purpose of managing your society's security operations.
8. Service Availability
We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control (internet outages, third-party service failures, force majeure events). The guard kiosk operates in offline mode during connectivity interruptions and syncs when reconnected.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The platform is provided 'as is' and 'as available'. Sparrow Security makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the platform. Face recognition is an assistive tool; guards are responsible for the final entry decision. We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free or that security vulnerabilities will never occur.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sparrow Security shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by your society to Sparrow Security in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these terms, without refund or further obligation. On termination, your right to use the platform ceases. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (including data ownership, intellectual property, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
